Greetings!
Last month our Valentine Special sparked a great deal of interest form you! From your feedback, the Cartagene was a real success! Plus it seems that the free shipping offer got a lot of appeal! Therefore I am presenting you a President's Day Special with the same feature. I have formulated another 3-pack around the idea of the family, inspired by the Julien Brothers. Thierry and Pascal work together and pay a lot of respect to their elders and the feeling of tribe that has developed over many generations. Their family has been living since time immemorial in this remote village of Languedoc, St Bauzille de la Sylve, and working in the vineyards and in the cellar is decidedly a communal affair! To honor their work I have picked up the three wines that we currently carry from their property, the Mas de Janiny. Our PRESIDENT'S SPECIAL is therefore comprised of: Through this unfined and lightly filtered Cabernet you can feel the heartbeat of that beautiful region of ours, the Languedoc! Carrying the scents of the garrigue, deep in color and expression, this wine can go head to head with great California Cabs without shame. This medium body red has good complexity and its name will incite you to share it at dinner time around the family table. Another iteration of this now classic Syrah. This vintage was the hottest on record and the wine is concentrated and meaty. Give it time to breathe before you plunge into its powerful bouquet and chewy mouthful! All three wines are Vegan, since no fining was used and only a light filtration made before bottling. A slight deposit is therefore to be expected, don't shake the bottles and let them rest some time after their trip. Also, allow for some breathing time so they open up and relax in the glass. I have combined these 3 wines in a President's Special for $68 only! Just pay for the bottles and we will pay for the SHIPPING ! (Ground). But this offer won't last long! One of the great things about running our business is the quality of people that such a value system and such quality of products attracts. We have been blessed to meet individuals such as Thomas Hartmann, John Gray, Zen Debrucke and others whose passion, achievements, contribution, knowledge, integrity, spirituality, creativity are an inspiration for most and certainly for us. On par with this rare and amazing breed Dr Bruce Berkowsky has recently come into our life. Meeting such a remarkable person is a true blessing and a great joy. The extent of his knowledge and experience in the healing fields of aromatherapy, homeopathy, gemmology, Chinese and herbal medicine etc, etc... is properly astounding as well as the creative genius that bubbles up out of him when he blends all these modalities together in a coherent understanding! Coming to us with the hope to find wines with true intrinsic qualities, he has been totally taken himself by the energetic characteristics of the wines he has tasted and tested in his own way. So much so that he will soon provide us with a new perspective on the possible use of different wines to affect the various systems of the body or its chakra circuit in relation with other healing modalities, in particular aromatherapy. It came out too late for the 10 day fast that I just completed but I could have used the advices of our long time friend and supporter Scott Ohlgren! He just released a beautiful piece of work called "The 28 Day Cleansing Program". Cleansing your body regularly is certainly the most fundamental step to keep you in top shape physically and mentally. The world needed this, bravo Scott!
On February 7th we celebrated a simple but thoughtful anniversary around some good organic wines that I recently brought back from France. Incidentally, on the very same day 9 years ago, we moved to our lovely home north of San Francisco. It has since then become the center of operations from which we write these newsletters and answer your phone calls.
